ABOUT NEW LIFE

We are an Apostolic Church in doctrine and demonstration

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith

New Life Church began holding services in Anna in early 2012. God has done amazing things during this time in the lives of many people. New Life has developed a strong foundation and is experiencing growth on a regular basis. We are excited about our growth and future, and are planning for the next phase of expansion.

Mission & Purpose

Church Vision:

Our vision is to love God through prayer, worship, and the word, and to love people through outreach, fellowship, and discipleship.

Church Mission:

Our mission is to fulfill the call of the Great Commission – to teach all nations, to baptize them, and to make disciples.

Our Beliefs & Values

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity, and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity. Moreover, there is no salvation outside the scriptures.

Worship

If you have never had the opportunity to be in a Spirit-filled service before, you will discover that Biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today. Join in with us as we praise God together in spirit and in truth.

We pray together aloud because in the Bible we read, “They lifted up their voice to God with one accord” (Acts 4:24).

We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord” (Psalm 134:2).

We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise”(Psalm 98:4).

We play musical instruments because in the Bible we read, “And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments” (2 Samuel 6:5).

We clap and shout unto God because in the Bible we read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph” (Psalm 47:1).

We dance before the LORD because in the Bible we read, “Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs” (Psalm150:4).

We anoint with oil for divine healing because in the Bible we read, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14).

We allow the operation of the spiritual gifts because in the Bible we read, “When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation” (1 Corinthians 14:26).

What We Believe

GOD

The first and greatest commandment is this: “Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29). We believe this one true God has revealed Himself as our Father in creation, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

SIN AND SALVATION

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).

THE GOSPEL

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Our response to the Gospel is to identify with His death, burial and resurrection through repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

CHRISTIAN LIVING

The prophet Micah declared, “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8). We believe that Christian living consists of doing what is right, compassionately serving others, and pursuing a relationship with God.

THE CHURCH

We believe in covenanting with a community of believers through a local church assembly. It is through the ministry of the Church that believers are strengthened in their faith and find opportunity to serve others. When believers gather together for worship, they can expect the presence of the Lord to be there and for the supernatural gifts of the Spirit to minister (Mathew 18:20; Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).
